This role offers 8-hour SHIFTS, as well as regular weekend overtime shifts, as needed. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) Monday through Friday.
There is $1,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The hourly rate for this role is $24.31. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

JOB SUMMARY:
If you have a passion for leadership, manufacturing, and creating a positive work environment, then Henkel has the job for you! The Technical Operator performs technical activities required for the safe operation of beauty care and laundry packaging line equipment to ensure the production of a high-quality consumer finished good. This person must function as a team member and stay involved in activities to improve team performance, all while being responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on packaging line equipment while minimizing the interruption to production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and inspect equipment according to current department procedures.
- Operate sheet and cardboard bailers, properly and safely wire bind bails, remove completed bails, and prepare bailer for next bail.
- Demonstrate corrective procedure for removing a roll splice from sheet stacks.
- Enter quality data into the Downtime Database.
- Navigate through various control screens; to include run, set-up, jog, machine faulty, and make changes of modes, homing sequence and set-up production values to the proper limits.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust packaging line equipment.
- Clean and change over packaging line equipment, as necessary with minimal downtime, all while verifying correct material components and sheet counts.
- Perform quality checks, knowing which documents are required and shift record keeping procedures.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, such as clearing jams, sheets, and carons from carton pick-up, depressors, inserters, main buckets, funnel buckets, flap tuckers, cleats, chains, sprockets, plows, rollers, and belts.
- Identify and address operational and material problems.
- Identify critical, stop production quality issues, and pursue corrective actions.
- Operate packaging line equipment.
- Follow and maintain equipment centerlines.
- Perform basic to intermediate mechanical activities.
- Regularly conduct and participate in shift turnover discussion.
- Regularly attend, listen, and participate in team meetings and end-of-shift meetings.
