- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies for the beauty and personal care category, aligning with Walmart’s overarching business goals. Drive innovation in product assortments, ensuring Walmart remains competitive in both mainstream and premium beauty segments. Identify trends and emerging opportunities in the beauty industry and translate them into actionable plans.
- Enhance Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotions to ensure profitable growth. Collaborate with vendors on exclusive products and innovation pipelines.
- Category Growth and Performance: Own and manage the P&L for the beauty and personal care category, ensuring financial targets are met. Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to drive category growth. Optimize in-store and online product assortments, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to enhance the beauty category’s visibility both online and in physical stores. Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and store operations to ensure efficient inventory management and product availability. Align strategies with Walmart’s digital and omnichannel goals to drive seamless customer experiences.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of National Business/Account Manager and analysts, ensuring effective execution of category plans. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop talent within the team and across cross-functional partners.
- Innovation and Digital Focus: Spearhead digital transformation initiatives in conjunction with our Business Development Manager in the beauty and personal care category, focusing on enhancing the online presence through superior product detail pages (PDPs), digital brand shops, and customer experience. Stay informed on emerging e-commerce and omnichannel trends and implement strategies that cater to Walmart’s evolving customer base.
